And there are many people prefer to patter code than password, because the first one is more interesting and creative than the latter one. Although it is not often, it is really possible to forget pattern code sometimes and fail to unlock the phone. What we should when forget pattern code?
When it happens to your Android smart phone without expectation, there are mainly three ways to solve the problem.

Gmail
Usually, when you enter wrong pattern code, you will be prompt to enter pin number at the initial setup of your phone. If you still remember the pin number, phone will be unlocked successfully when enter the number and recover to the default way to slide to unlock. Or if you have Gmail account connected to phone, it is allowed to reset the security code by providing Gmail information.

Wipe Recovery
We have to have a try to other way to unlock, if you have forgotten the Gmail account or pin number. Another easy and direct way is that power off and wipes recovery by special key combinations. But different smart phone has different key combination for wipe recovery, such as (volume minus and power button for HTC and volume plus, power button and home button for Samsung smart phone). Wipe recovery is equal to Factory Reset and it will change to way to unlock when you start phone again.

Root
Usually, root will be the last way if you forgot the pattern code. But if you have tried above way and still failed to get it right, it is necessary to root the phone. You can download software and root for the phone by yourself or ask for professional service from cell phone store.

Most of us will set password or pattern code for smart phone for security and we should keep them in our mind. If we forget the password or pattern code, we have to come out some idea to unlock the phone. All in all, there are above three ways to help you unlock Android phone successfully.
