Microsoft
to release Surface Tablet with Windows 8 and also Windows Mobile 8. Microsoft
tablet comes with 10.6in display and will be available to customers via
Microsoft stores and it’s online store. Analyst said,
Microsoft’s aim is to
offer a hardware and software built around Windows, this is to join the market
predominately own by Apple whose iPad and iPhone devices run on its own iOS platform.
Microsoft
offers two tablet, the surface with Windows RT for ARM processors, and the
Surface Pro with Windows 8 Pro for x86 Intel processors. The Surface tablet
with Windows RT comes with Office 15.
Microsoft
created its own tablet as a result of the need for a device that will take
advantage of the Windows OS, Apple has dominated the tablet market, and
Microsoft had to take hardware development into its own hands as PC makers are
believe not to be found of Windows 8. If Surface tablets become successful, Microsoft will drag away future revenues from major hardware partners.
